WILD LINKS INDIA & NEPAL

Initially I had to find a textile printer outside Australia so Mumbai became my first destination after meeting Yogi at the Melbourne Textile Exhibition. India is so interesting and immensely diverse, beautiful colours and friendly sheikhs! and Ganesha is well loved, check out our song in the Lost City Collection.

Elephanta Island, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987, is quiet and picturesque, with light-green foliage and monkeys scampering about. The Elephanta Caves are a complex of Shiva temple caves on Elephanta Island, an hour-long ferry ride from Mumbai.

Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge is the pioneer wildlife safari lodge of Nepal and Asia. Tiger Tops is located in the heart of Nepal 's premier Chitwan National Park.

A fabulous trip is to train ride on the Palace on Wheels. You can almost sense a life of the wilderness, as you arrive in Sawai Madhopur. Ranthambhor National Park is a wildlife sanctuary considered to be the country's best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. The park, covering an area of 392 sq kms is home to more than 300 species of birds. The tiger, hyena, ratel, jackal and fox are among those constituting the carnivorous population!

Agra Bear Sanctuary in India is where we spent time volunteering to help out the Sloth Bears with my second Free the Bears Fund tour for 2008.

Puskar we hand fed cows in the streets and rode camels across sand dunes.

Bundi we were shown fantastic hospitality at Ishwari Niwas a Hertitage Resort with Maharaj Balbhadra Singh the owner with his family & staff.
